Sponge-like macroporous cyclodextrin-based cryogels for controlled drug delivery

چکیده
New drug delivery systems for wound healing applications based on α/β/γ-cyclodextrin (α/β/γ-CD) acrylic (A) and styrenic (S) monomers have been synthesized co-polymerized with 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) via a cryo-polymerization technique.

Bioinspired Mechano‐Sensitive Macroporous Ceramic Sponge for Logical Drug and Cell Delivery
On-demand, ultrahigh precision delivery of molecules and cells assisted by scaffold is a pivotal theme in the field of controlled release, but it remains extremely challenging for ceramic-based macroporous scaffolds that are prevalently used in regenerative medicine. Sea sponges (Phylum Porifera), whose bodies possess hierarchical pores or channels and organic/inorganic composite structures, ca...
متن کاملCyclodextrin-based controlled drug release system.
Because of their bioadaptability and multi-functional characteristics, cyclodextrins (CDs) are capable of alleviating the undesirable properties of drug molecules in various routes of administration through the formation of inclusion complexes. This article outlines the current application of natural and chemically modified CDs in the design of advanced dosage forms. In an oral drug delivery sy...
متن کاملCyclodextrin In Drug Delivery: A Review
Cyclodextrins (CDs) are a family of cyclic oligosaccharides composed ofα-(1, 4) linked glucopyranose subunits. CDs have been found as potential candidates because of their ability to alter physical, chemical and biological properties of guest molecules through the formation of inclusion complexes. Pure cyclodextrins that were suitable for pharmaceutical applications did not come available until...
متن کاملUnimolecular micelles of amphiphilic cyclodextrin-core star-like block copolymers for anticancer drug delivery.
Well-defined star-like amphiphilic polymers composed of a β-cyclodextrin core, from which 21 hydrophobic poly(lactic acid) arms and hydrophilic poly(ethylene glycol) arms are grafted sequentially, form robust and uniform unimolecular micelles that are biocompatible and efficient in the delivery of anticancer drugs.
